During the night which we shared in the Darlington Care Home, Rustington, she slipped away peacefully. Magically escaping from 3 months of misery and torment which she bore like a martyr, enduring a multitude of indignities, just to carry out her part of our marriage vow for our sakes. "Until death does us part ".
A true Christian woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.She loved life and everyone that she encountered, she helped others. With her spouse she travelled, moved house, lived in Switzerland and France, finally ending in East Preston where her beloved parents had chosen to retire.
We are grateful for the prayers and support of all our relatives and friends which has made the last 3 months supportable.
An experience of a Care Home has demonstrated the saintly behaviour of the carers, long 12 hour shifts, unbelievable devotion to almost every condition of frailty, without hint of the strain involved is totally humbling.
